XDefiant is the new multiplayer first-person shooter released by Ubisoft Entertainment. XDifiant released May 21st, 2024, on Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5 and PC. The game feels and plays the classic Call of Duty games, with fast paced gameplay and mechanics that remind me of the glory days of Call of Duty. The game runs and feels great to play whether you want to just pick up a quick game or sit down for a long session. One of my favorite aspects of XDefiant is that the public lobbies do not contain skill-based match making like many other multiplayer first-person shooters, but instead includes a trail for ranked mode for players who enjoy more intense lobbies. The combat and movement in this game feels very quick which allows for fun and enjoyable engagements. This game also does an excellent job with gun selections as each gun is memorable and stands out from the others in its class. My personal favorite gun so far is the ACR 6.8 as I find it to have one of the fastest TTKs in the game. What I think makes this game stand out from the other multiplayer shooters are the factions and the maps and how they are connected to many of the Tom Clancy games, as both the maps and factions are set in these games. The faction characters also have their own unique abilities and gadgets that allow for a more strategic approach to the game.
